I have noticed more and more recently that a lot of toy manufacturers are bringing out 'classic' toy and games lines in various guises and normally with new names (or travel editions). Games such as connect 4, hang man, battle ships, snake and ladders to name a few.
I wonder if there is a gap in the market for modern revamps of these classic games. Maybe using the same basic game engine but update them with modern attractive themes that kids can relate to .
Is it purely that people recognise the classics and buy them where as they might not if the packaging was slightly diferent.
I would be interested to hear others views on this...
