Hi All
I am currently at university doing an engineering degree (M.eng - Vehicle Design) in the UK.
I have taken this route in education becuase of an underlying fascination in the area. I am currently taking steps to start my own business doing CAD development, and am fully equipped to produce virtual prototypes, technical drawings and virtually anything else required in bringing a concept to life. I have added a list of some of my major clients so far at the end of this post.
To cut to the chase, I am looking for experience, and to make contacts in the field. To achieve this I am willing to offer my extensive range of skills to anybody who may have an idea, but a lack of means to realise it. Whilst CAD and FEA analysis is my speciality, and a large part of my course at university, I am also constantly developing my skills constructing dynamic websites and internet applications, as well as being competent with Photoshop and many other graphics software packages. Essentially I can offer the skills and means to develop an idea through virtual prototyping, produce manufacturing drawings, produce instruction manuals, advertising material, website material and probably almost everything else inbetween. I am aiming to specialise in working with small developing businesses struggling to get ideas off the ground.
If you feel you could benefit from my help, then chances are I could benefit from having you as a contact and working with you in the future. Whilst I cannot promise to work for free, if I feel the idea has mileage I will strive to work with you as far as I can without draining your resources, since it would be of mutal interest to see the project succeed.
If you are interested, or perhaps know somebody who might be, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. I can be reached at james@cadster.co.uk. I have launched a fairly basic website which can be reached at www.cadster.co.uk, which shows examples of my work so far. I am midway through developing an online application which I will allow clients to keep tabs on any work they have commissioned, which will take over from this initial site once it is complete. If you would like more information please contact me and I can give you details of my testing server so you can see my progress so far.
Many Thanks for your time in reading this
Cheers
James Izzard

I have worked closely with Recoil Systems, developing their shotgun mounted recoil reduction unit as well as all the other mechanical products they produce. (Contact David: david@recoilsystems.com - http://www.recoilsystems.com).
I have also worked closely with NH3 - a company specialising in designing and manufacturing industrial freezers, on a project called the ATF, (Automatic Tray Freezer). If you wish to contact NH3 for more details of my involvement just let me know and I can put you in touch with the Director. (www.nh3.co.uk)
Probably my most impressive client so far has been Qt Services. Qt have recently purchased the rights to manufacture the Wildcat race car. I have worked with them on developing design concepts for the vehicle for the last year, and am still in close contact with projects ongoing. I have been able to work with their highly experienced workshop team, and with my CAD ability realise some crucial ideas for developing this extroadinary vehicle even further. The Qt Wildcat continues to compete in and win some of the most demanding off road race events all over the world. (If you wish to contact Qt regarding my involvment just let me know and I will be happy to put you in touch with Dave Marsh the Director. http://www.qtwildcat.co.uk)
