I recently found information on the web about toy and game agents Creative group marketing. They seem to have a good portfolio of success stories on their site. Has anyone used or contacted them, do they charge up front fees for evaluation or require patents, prototypes or lawyers/patent attorney. If anyone has experience of thsi comapny please let us know about the experience. Cheers, Inventoy www.toyinventions.co.ukFreelance toy invention/design - 120 toy & game invention portfolio to date

>:(I did have a connection with this company. I was very disappointed with them. Yes, I had to pay $2500.00 up front(after web research on them, thought they(he) were/was upright. The first response was of course, enticing, How much the idea was liked and the likelyhood of possibilities, etc. I made several calls to the owner. Although he did return the initial calls before I would send any money , and answer the questions. The answers were of course what I would want to hear. I sent the money...never to be heard from again. I would call and be told, oh there is an other show. Each time. Or he had a bite . When i asked where, who and how my item was shown or made known, he could not answer me. He would no longer answer me. Herwould not give me any information at all! I am convinced it is a take the money and run operation. At least tell me the idea is useless, no good, anything. But not to ignore me. There was certainly no communication. HE NEVER MADE A CALL TO ME TO LET ME KNOW OF ANY STATUS.I do not recommend this agent. No one else EVER answered the phone!!! a one man operation, I guess. Yet he was ALWAYS THERE. WHEN DID HE HAVE TIME TO SHOW THESE IDEAS OF THOSE WHO SUBMITTED TO HIM?

Thanks for the post. I always hate to hear when fellow inventors get ripped off. I nearly approached these guys in desparation at one stage too. I am always wary when they offer services to improve the idea though. I think this is the way they generally make money.
We lost money to a company called International Product Design back in the 90's and one here in the UK. The latter did build us a prototype for the money but we questioned how much they promoted the idea. When we questioned them they denied it, got shirty and we are still in a battle to get the prototype from them as they say they still may license it!
The only agents I have heard positive feedback of so far are Seven Towns (no eval. fees), Marra ($150 eval.) and White Castle games (65 euros eval fee)
It may be worth following up and trying to recover some money especially if the agent has delivered nothing. I read on one of the governemnt sites that it may be possible with free legal aid.
Cheers,

toy agents and toy inventors are for the middle class and the rich , they are the only ones who buy off the companies to make their invention or inventions, beware of the scams and scammers and their toy agents and companies there all for the money and rich schemes after your money and then they come up with the lies why the invention can not be made or souled ,invented and no market for the invention or some kind of 2 minded talk garbage , the toy companies are all scams and scammers ,con- arts and their toy agents and their big or small companies online and offline they want the money and then they laugh at you and think it is a joke reaping off people and they get rich. and steal people ideas . beware of them all bunch of liars and scams ....and money thieves .... new funtiers .com is one of them , $100.00 up front and draws or cd and then they suppostly look in to the invention make shore nothing is like it on the market and patiented, and can license the invention etc.... bunch of lies , they do nothing ,and take your money .... and may even steal the invention for themselves . bunch of thieves and scammmers and liars. do not give any one any money , they are all thieves....ps better to invent your own ideal and make it and sell it yourself ,because the thieves are everywhere nowadays.

Good to see they got back to you in the end. I am not sure what they say about getting back to you. Standard is up to 90 days or 3 months.
